Fibroblast Plasma Therapy is a non-surgical, non-invasive, skin-tightening treatment that stimulates the production of new collagen, leading to increased firmness and reduction fine lines, wrinkles and even age spots.
The plasma pen creates plasma arcs between the tip of the treatment tool and your skin, in the targeted treatment area. These flashes of plasma travel right through the epidermis to the papillary layer of your skin, sublimating skin cells. The intentional, targeted damage to the skin cells triggers the fibroblast cells to facilitate synthesis of new collagen and elastin as the tissue is repaired.
There is no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers, the skin remains intact, and there is no need for injected anesthetics; therefore, there is little to no downtime, and minimal risk of side effects like scarring or infection... Which makes this treatment a wonderful alternative to invasive and costly surgical procedures!
Final results will start to be seen around 1-3 weeks post-treatment, when collagen is synthesized (in the third stage of wound healing), and will improve over the next few weeks or more, from there, as the skin continues through the fourth and final phase of healing.
Results may vary based on various factors, such as wrinkle depth, skin type, age, etc. Many people are happy with results from just one treatment; whereas others may need two to three treatments.
Results are permanent, although things like wrinkles and age spots will slowly return and/or new ones will form, of course, since we will still continue to age. Therefore, additional treatments may be desired eventually.
To get the most out of your treatment, consider these things that can further enhance collagen production: Collagen supplements (ideally with both Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides), and healthy foods rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants, amino acids and omega-3 fatty acids.
And try to avoid these things that are known to reduce/interfere with collagen synthesis: UV rays (direct sun exposure/tanning beds), cigarettes, excessive sugar/alcohol/caffeine consumption, stress, lack of sleep.
